Orthopedic Injury

Employee reached out to PHM for support after an injury during a volleyball game.

  • PHM facilitated an immediate MRI which revealed a torn ACL. PHM connected him with a knee surgeon who specialized in ACL repair and performed surgery the next week. Member is currently doing physical therapy and feeling great.

Urgent Intervention

Employee reached out to PHM during an episode of chest pain and hypertension that required her to go to the ER for what turned out to be a panic attack.

  • As a result of the ER event, PHM Clinician discovered that she was behind on all her healthcare visits, so we secured appointments with her PCP,  Ob/GYN, orthopedist, and cardiologist.

    Because of the recent ER event, PHM also connected her with a therapist. PHM Clinician remains involved with her care.

Cardiac Concern

Employee with a history of cardiac arrhythmia contacted his PHM team due to shortness of breath while on a family vacation in the UK.

  • PHM determined that the evaluation by the local ER was missing key diagnostics and coordinated a same-day CT scan and consultation with a leading cardiologist in London the next day.  Member stayed in contact with the PHM Care team to ensure safety while vacationing.
